Cache is used for storing copies of webpages on the server. If you have a dynamic page and it uses complex queries to databases to generate the content - why not store the generated content in some directory on a server and simply load it later? In some cases this is actually possible and very useful. This cache engine can store entire pages or parts of pages on the server.
